SUVA, Lakeba, Kabara, and Komo began Cricket Fiji’s inaugural Super 8 tournament well at Albert Park yesterday.

Suva defeated Namuka by 28 runs in its opening match, leading the Pool 1 standings with three points.

Kabara also secured three points in Pool 1 by defeating Ono-i-Lau with 91 runs.

In Pool 2, Komo and Lakeba each lead with three points following their respective victories.

Lakeba won against Moce by 25 runs, while Komo defeated Nadi by a commanding 192 runs.

The tournament continues today with Moce facing Nadi and Komo meeting Lakeba at Albert Park pitch one. Namuka will play Ono-i-Lau and Kabara will battle Suva at Albert Park pitch two.

Matches on both pitches started at 7.30am.
