Former players will be back in action during the RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings International Veteran’s tournament, set to take place during the Rooster Chicken/Scoop Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament in Suva from August 1-4.
The matches will be held at the Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Vatuwaqa and the HFC Stadium in Suva.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf confirmed that the tournament will feature two age categories: over 40 and over 45.
“Players born on or before December 31, 1984, are eligible for the over 40 category, while those born on or before December 31, 1979, can compete in the over 45 category. Players born in 1985 and 1980, respectively, will not qualify for these categories,” said Yusuf.
Teams interested in participating must submit their completed application forms, including player registration forms, to Fiji FA by July 21.
All applications must be made in the prescribed form and endorsed by the respective district association.
This requirement also applies to overseas teams, who will need endorsements from their legitimate Fijian National Associations, such as NZFFI, AUFFI, and FSCUSA.
