This year’s inter-district championship for primary schools has showcased remarkable skills and talent, according to Dinamani Mudaliar, the president of the Fiji Primary School Football Association. Mudaliar noted that the quality of play has noticeably improved, resulting in exciting finishes and closely matched games.
He highlighted that the scorelines reflect this progress, with many matches concluding with tight margins, often ending 2-1 or even resulting in draws. In an interview, he remarked that this trend signals a more competitive environment than in previous years.
“In the past, larger teams would frequently dominate the matches, but this season has seen surprising draws and narrow wins, indicating a closing gap between the leading teams and their challengers,” he explained.
Mudaliar also urged fans and supporters to turn out in large numbers to cheer for their teams today.
