Exciting New Hotel Set to Boost Labasa’s Tourism Scene

Wyndham and other major hotel brands have approached the Damodar Group for the management of a new 40-room hotel in Labasa. Div Damodar, the CEO of the Damodar Group, confirmed that an official announcement regarding this development will be made soon. He stated, “We will be declaring the name very shortly.”

In an interview, Damodar highlighted that several prominent business names have shown interest, indicating growing confidence in the tourism sector and international brands in Vanua Levu. He described the region as a largely untapped market for tourism, suggesting that the new hotel complex will serve as a catalyst to attract other major brands to Fiji.

The hotel will feature not only accommodation but also an 80-seater conference room and a swimming pool. The conference facilities are designed for workshops and various events. Additionally, it is anticipated that the new hotel will create around 25 jobs and is expected to open by the end of the year.
