New categories have been introduced for the 2024 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards, set to take place on Saturday, November 30, at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort in Nadi. Businesses have until the end of this month to apply for recognition in a total of 15 categories.
Kamal Chetty, CEO of Investment Fiji and event organizer, highlighted the addition of categories such as the Excellence in Employer Award, Excellence in Fisheries Award, Excellence in Forestry Award, and the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award. He emphasized that these new categories aim to broaden the awards’ scope and honor significant accomplishments in vital sectors.
This year’s awards theme is Business Innovation and Sustainability, which was officially launched last month. Chetty noted that the response to the call for applications has been “impressive,” with a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability. He mentioned the importance of recognizing businesses that adopt sustainable practices and achieve success while praising the number of first-time applicants sharing their success stories.
Chetty encouraged businesses that have not yet applied to act swiftly to avoid missing the chance for recognition and engagement with industry leaders.
