Exciting Lineup Set for 2024 Vodafone Suva Open Tennis Championship

The 2024 Vodafone Suva Open Championship is expected to attract a crowd with a notable lineup of 100-200 tennis players from across the Pacific.

Athletes from American Samoa, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands will converge in Suva from September 13th to 16th for a weekend of competitive tennis.

The matches will be held at various venues, including the Victoria Tennis Courts, Suva Lawn Tennis Court, and Pathik Tennis Club.

Manuha’apai Jioji Qaqaturaga from the Suva Tennis Association underscored the tournament’s broader goals:

“Suva Tennis Association was established to create athletes and sportspeople who serve our nation. I am very proud to say that many Suva players have competed at various levels and have been selected for the Fiji team to represent Fiji at the Pacific Games,” she said.

“We have many new local players and expatriates who have joined the Suva tennis community. This tournament provides a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their talent and skills against other players.”

The event will be supported by Vodafone Fiji’s renewed three-year sponsorship.

Vodafone’s Head of Enterprise Development Antonio Kitione expressed delight in sponsoring and supporting the Suva Open until 2026.

“The Suva Open has the potential to grow and inspire more people to engage with tennis. Whether as players, fans, or supporters, our goal is to contribute to the development and success of this event, ensuring it becomes a highlight in the tennis calendar for years to come in Fiji.”
