SUVA, Lakeba, Kabara, and Komo enjoyed promising starts in Cricket Fiji’s inaugural Super 8 tournament, which kicked off yesterday at Albert Park.
In their opening match, Suva triumphed over Namuka by 28 runs, leading Pool 1 standings with three points. Kabara, also in Pool 1, secured three points by defeating Ono-i-Lau with a commanding 91-run margin.
In Pool 2, both Komo and Lakeba lead with three points each after their respective victories. Lakeba overcame Moce by 25 runs, while Komo dominated Nadi, winning by 192 runs.
Today’s matches include Moce versus Nadi and Komo against Lakeba at Albert Park pitch one. Meanwhile, Namuka will play Ono-i-Lau, and Kabara will face Suva at Albert Park pitch two. All matches are set to begin at 7:30 am.
