The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is set to take place at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, on May 9–10, 2025, as announced by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).
This upcoming event follows the highly successful SPTE 2024, which was held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.
The 2025 SPTE will coincide with other major regional tourism events, including TRENZ 2025, scheduled for May 6–8, and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), occurring from April 28 to May 1, 2025. The tourism sector across the Pacific and beyond is expected to keenly anticipate these overlapping events.
Christopher Cocker, CEO of SPTO, expressed excitement about the 2025 event and highlighted the organization’s commitment to encouraging innovation and collaboration within Pacific tourism.

As the premier event of the SPTO, the SPTE serves as a pivotal platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and other stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase the diverse range of products and services available in the Pacific Islands.
This marks the second time the SPTE will be held in Fiji, following seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Cocker noted that meticulous preparations are underway to ensure attendees have a seamless experience.
“While we have confirmed the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa as the venue, we are working diligently to align all logistical details to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved,” he added.
