Robert Camilleri, the managing director for Spartan Fiji/New Zealand/Australia, reported impressive outcomes from the 2024 Fiji Spartan APAC Championship, which took place at the Aviva Racecourse in Nadi yesterday. The event kicked off with a 50 km Ultra race, followed by the 21 km Beast race, paving the way for a competitive championship series that showcased some remarkable finishing times.
Camilleri noted the ongoing excitement as participants continued to take on the course, with the last waves expected to finish up around 11 am. He also highlighted that today marks the main event, featuring the highly anticipated 10 km and 5 km races, which are attracting a larger crowd due to their shorter distances. Many newcomers are set to participate in the 5 km race, eager to experience the challenges and camaraderie that the Spartan Race offers.
The event has garnered significant international interest, attracting participants from 24 countries, while also witnessing a robust local turnout.
