Seven international rugby teams are set to compete in the upcoming McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s tournament, scheduled to take place in Sigatoka next month. The event will feature prominent teams, including the national squads from New Zealand and Samoa, which are expected to draw considerable attention.
In addition to these powerhouse teams, the tournament will also welcome development squads from Australia and New Zealand, along with the Seattle Barbarians and Bula Bay 7s hailing from the United States. A notable highlight is the participation of the highly regarded Mike Friday Selection team, which boasts a star-studded lineup.
On the local front, the tournament will see fierce competition among local teams, including the defending champions Fiji 7s team, Fijian Drua 7s, BLK Lavidi Brothers, Tuva Rugby, Devo Babas, Ratu Filise, Colo West Highlanders, Taikita Brothers, and Brothers Club.
The tournament is slated to be held at Lawaqa Park from January 16 to 18, promising an exciting showcase of rugby skill and camaraderie for fans.
