Byrne remarked, “The players that are playing up north are playing well; they’re improving. Our players are training hard, getting better, and they’re performing well. There’s about another nine or ten young players in the academy over there, just about ready to step into the top league.” This influx of skilled youngsters is contributing to a competitive atmosphere within the national squad, making selections for the team increasingly challenging.

Get out there with your flags and be nice and loud. Let the boys know you’re there. It will feel like home,” he said, underscoring the importance of fan support.
