At the 53rd Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting held in Tonga, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka emphasized the need for closer cooperation in implementing the institutional arrangements of the Samoa Agreement, highlighting the significant advancement in EU engagement with the Pacific region.
During the Pacific ACP (PACP) Leaders Dialogue, Rabuka acknowledged the European Union as a vital partner in both bilateral and regional development. He noted that Fiji held its inaugural EU Partnership Dialogue in April as part of the Samoa Agreement and commended the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat for its support to Pacific ACP nations.
