The Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF) has confirmed its commitment to providing all boxers with equal opportunities to compete in various bouts. This statement was made by BCF chairman Adi Narayan during the recent launch of the Bluewater Boxing Promotion held at the Holiday Inn in Suva.

Narayan emphasized that the commission would not interfere with matches, even if there are discrepancies in the fighters’ records. He remarked, “If a boxer has a record that does not match their opponent’s, the commission will not object to that,” underscoring the inclusive approach of the commission. He added, “If you want to fight, we will give you a chance to prove yourself because it’s a contest, not a championship fight.”

In exciting news, boxer Robin Hazelman has the opportunity to challenge current cruiserweight title holder Alivereti Kauyaca provided he first triumphs over Joseph Kwadjo. Narayan expressed optimism, stating, “Give him a chance; he might knock Kwadjo out, and we’ll see what happens in the Bluewater boxing promotions on February 22.”

The event will be held at Vodafone Arena and promises an exhilarating schedule featuring 15 bouts.

This initiative not only showcases the BCF’s dedication to developing the sport but also shines a spotlight on emerging talent, fostering a more competitive and dynamic boxing scene in Fiji.

Summary: The BCF is ensuring all boxers have equal chances to compete, highlighted by an upcoming match where Robin Hazelman could earn a title shot against Alivereti Kauyaca if he wins against Joseph Kwadjo. The event is set for February 22 at Vodafone Arena, featuring 15 bouts.
