Heavyweight boxer Semi Dauloloma is preparing to challenge current champion James Singh for the Boxing Commission of Fiji Heavyweight title at the Bluewater Boxing Promotion event taking place at Lawaqa Park tomorrow.
Dauloloma emphasizes the importance of maintaining focus in the ring, warning that even a brief lapse could lead to severe consequences. He is confident in his training and the new techniques he has learned, viewing the pressure he faces as a source of motivation.
His strategy is to exhaust Singh’s energy if Singh comes out aggressively, or to adapt his approach if Singh employs a more strategic tactic. In addition to the heavyweight bout, Jr Binnu Singh is set to face Krishnil Mudaliar for the WBF Australasian featherweight title, while veteran Savenaca Naliva will take on Sikeli Senidoko in the cruiserweight division. Ronald Naidu will also compete against Rakuro Daunivavana.
“My training is going well, and I’m learning new techniques and styles to keep me sharp and fit for the upcoming fight,” Dauloloma stated. He acknowledges the pressure of the event but views it positively, as it drives him to perform better.
Dauloloma is eager to claim the title and is prepared to exert himself to drain Singh’s energy in the ring. “If he puts pressure in the first round, I will exhaust all his energy; if he plays smart, then may the best man win,” he remarked.
