They triumphed over Flying Tigers from Lautoka with a score of 21-7, decisively defeated Gideon Brothers 26-0, and concluded the day with a solid 19-5 win against Mt Horeb Brothers. This strong showing positions them as a formidable contender for the championship.

Brothers, fresh off a plate win at the Coral Coast 7s last week, have continued their winning ways. They narrowly edged out Army FTG 12-7 and later secured a convincing 24-5 win against Bula Brothers, signaling their readiness to compete for top honors in this tournament.

Meanwhile, SR Ubuntu, led by Semi Radradra, had a commendable day in the tournament as well. They edged past Vunimono Eels with a close 7-5 scoreline before delivering a dominating 24-0 shutout against Flame Tree Navatuvula.

Tournament coordinator Vilitati Galivia expressed satisfaction with the participation level and support, indicating gratitude for the teams that attended despite a couple of teams pulling out due to participation in the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s tournament. He emphasized the aim of the event, which is to support the church community through sports.

The tournament’s elimination rounds are set to take place today, culminating in the announcement of the top eight teams that will advance to the quarter-finals.
