Empowering Women: SPBD Celebrates Milestones and Achievements

The South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) network celebrated a remarkable year during the SPBD Foundation Day and the Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2024 event, which highlighted its achievements with over 440 village-based women’s groups and approximately 9,000 members. President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere attended the celebration and commended the organization for surpassing $100 million in loan disbursements this year. He expressed satisfaction with SPBD’s ongoing commitment to empowering its members, particularly women in rural and underserved communities.
