The South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) network marked another successful year with the SPBD Foundation Day and the Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2024. With over 440 village-based women’s groups and a membership base of around 9,000, the organization celebrated a significant achievement this year, reaching a milestone of $100 million in loan disbursements.
During the event, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere praised SPBD for its dedication to empowering its members, particularly women in rural and underserved communities.
