Empowering Women in Taveuni: A Boost for Local Businesses

The Minister for Fisheries, Alitia Bainivalu, presented a boat and a fishing license to the women’s cooperative in Somosomo, Taveuni, to assist in boosting the sea cucumber trade. This event took place on a Saturday, with the intent to enhance the livelihood of women in the community by improving their involvement in the sea cucumber business.
