The i-Taukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) has announced a new suite of initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable growth and empowering iTaukei landowners. These initiatives include a comprehensive budget strategy, a progressive corporate plan, and a detailed training program.
Chairman of the TLTB Board and Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Ifereimi Vasu, highlighted that these efforts are designed to enhance organizational performance while supporting national development objectives. The budget for the year 2025, effective January 1, signifies a commitment to responsible financial management and sustainable land use.
With a total budget allocation of $28.15 million—representing a 7% increase from the previous year—TLTB plans to focus on several critical areas such as landowner empowerment, improvements in IT infrastructure, and fostering business development.
