About 400 human resources (HR) professionals and stakeholders convened in Nadi over the weekend for the 20th BSP Life 2025 Fiji Human Resources Institute (FHRI) Convention. With the theme “Empowering Performance, Elevating Productivity,” the event served as a dynamic platform for in-depth discussions on industry trends and challenges.

BSP Life managing director, Michael Nacola, highlighted the importance of people as vital assets within organizations and expressed enthusiasm about the convention’s evolution over the years, noting BSP Life’s longstanding partnership with the event. The FHRI Convention has transitioned into a significant gathering not only for HR practitioners but also for board directors, senior government officials, and CEOs.

The convention took place at the luxurious Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island, providing an ideal backdrop for networking and collaboration among industry leaders. The event represents a critical opportunity for HR professionals to share best practices, gain insights into effective workforce management, and develop strategies aimed at enhancing productivity in their organizations.

The continued focus on empowering HR practices demonstrates a commitment to improving workplace environments and elevating overall business operations. This commitment is echoed by other initiatives in Fiji, such as the recent workshops aimed at enhancing HR management among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), showcasing a concerted effort to strengthen the sector.

Overall, the positive outcomes from the FHRI Convention illustrate a forward-looking perspective, where collaboration and continued professional development pave the way for sustainable growth in Fiji’s workforce. The insights and relationships fostered during such gatherings have the potential to drive meaningful change within the industry.
