The Australian Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) is currently providing valuable training opportunities in Fiji, aimed at helping young individuals acquire skills for better employment and improve their overall quality of life.
On the upcoming Wednesday, a total of 317 students are set to receive certificates, comprising 181 females and 137 males, with the event scheduled to take place in Nasinu.
Jokapeci Mocelutu, a 26-year-old mother from Suvavou, Rewa, expressed her gratitude for the program after successfully completing a 12-week course. She emphasized the importance of the free training provided, which equips individuals with the necessary skills for employment.
She holds a certificate in aged care and is proactively seeking job opportunities, considering the challenges in the current job market and the high cost of living. Despite personal difficulties, including caring for her child during the course, she remains committed to furthering her education.
Sainimere Lewetini, also 26 years old and from Naweretu, Nakorotubu in Ra, highlighted her excitement for the opportunities she received through the APTC. She completed a Certificate II in Hospitality and plans to put her skills to use in Lautoka. This initial training has led to further education and she appreciates the knowledge gained through her studies.
Sainimere underscored the significance of skill development in overcoming economic challenges, advocating that individuals take advantage of such programs to enhance their job prospects and improve their lives.
Both women encourage others to pursue similar educational paths, emphasizing that the training is free and geared towards aiding individuals in improving their circumstances. They express gratitude for the APTC’s role in equipping them for future employment opportunities.
