The Education Ministry has commended Outsource Fiji and various stakeholders for emphasizing the importance of programs designed to empower the youth. At a recent job fair held at Albert Park in Suva, Assistant Minister Iliesa Vanawalu spoke to secondary school students about how such initiatives equip young individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required for future success.

The job fair featured a range of exhibitors including Mindpearl Fiji, RCL Services Pte Ltd, and Bula Outsourcing Fiji. Minister Vanawalu highlighted the significance of collaboration between educational institutions, the private sector, and government agencies to provide young people with practical experiences and insights into the corporate world.

“Recognizing the fast-paced changes in the global landscape, it is crucial to commit to continuous learning and skill development to remain competitive in today’s job market,” he emphasized. The Minister encouraged students to forge connections that could function as pathways to future opportunities, suggesting that the professionals they meet could become mentors or colleagues.

Naomi Tiko, a senior education officer from the Ministry, noted that many students were inquiring about the availability of holiday jobs as the school break approached. She indicated that attending job fairs helps students better understand the skills and requirements needed in the workforce.

This initiative not only illustrates the ministry’s ongoing efforts to engage with the private sector but also supports the Coalition Government’s vision of empowering young Fijians.

Overall, this commitment to youth empowerment through education and practical experience offers a promising outlook for the future of young individuals in Fiji, providing them with tools to navigate their career paths successfully.

In summary, the Education Ministry’s collaboration with Outsource Fiji at the job fair exemplifies a proactive approach to youth empowerment, equipping students with necessary skills and knowledge, while fostering essential partnerships between various sectors. This could lead to enhanced opportunities for young people as they prepare to enter the workforce.
