Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has urged students at the Fiji National University to equip themselves with a strong education to adapt to societal changes and achieve their life goals.
During his visit to the FNU Nasinu Campus, Rabuka highlighted the crucial role of education in determining the future of young people. He encouraged students by stating, “You are in an institution of learning, guided by individuals who have gone through this journey. Change is a natural occurrence. Recovery is always possible; do not lose hope, keep striving, and aim to graduate.”
The Prime Minister added, “Continue your efforts, you can achieve it—your potential is limitless.” His visit included a full traditional welcome ceremony from university staff, accompanied by a presentation led by Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba.
Professor Baba expressed gratitude on behalf of the university, reaffirming FNU’s dedication to enhancing higher education in Fiji. “We assure you that FNU will journey with you and contribute to the Fijian Government’s vision. Our focus will align with the National Development Plan laid out by the Government,” she stated.
She further emphasized, “FNU appreciates the direction the Government is pursuing and will align with that vision.”
