Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka urged students at the Fiji National University to pursue quality education to adapt to societal changes and succeed in their lives.
During his visit to the university’s Nasinu Campus, Rabuka highlighted the crucial role of education in molding the future of the youth. He encourages the students by reminding them, “You are in an institution of learning, you are being taught by people who have gone through this process. Change is natural. There is always a path to recovery; do not give up, keep going and graduate.” He added, “Keep going, you can do it, the sky is not the limit for you but heaven is.”
The Prime Minister was welcomed with a traditional ceremony conducted by the university staff, followed by a presentation from Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba. In her remarks, Professor Baba expressed the university’s gratitude and reiterated FNU’s dedication to advancing higher education in Fiji.
She stated, “We promise that FNU will move with you and carve a future in the Fijian Government’s vision. At FNU, we will focus on the Fiji Government’s National Development Plan.” Professor Baba emphasized that FNU understands the direction the Government is taking and will align with that vision.
