Fiji’s National Development Plan (NDP) 2025-2029 is anticipated to commence on January 1, 2025. During its final meeting of the financial year yesterday, the Cabinet was updated on the progress and finalization of the NDP.
The NDP outlines a new national vision, conveyed through sectoral policies and strategies, with a comprehensive framework for implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The vision for the NDP is “Empowering the People of Fiji through Unity,” aiming to create an inclusive and prosperous nation that strives for a resilient and sustainable economy.
Additionally, the Cabinet reviewed the draft of Vision 2050 during the meeting. Vision 2050 outlines the long-term development goals of Fijians for the next 25 years.
