Abdul Shafraz, a young entrepreneur from Vuda, Lautoka, is making significant strides in the local jewelry-making sector, thanks to the support provided by the Youth and Sports Ministry. In July, the Ministry supplied him with vital materials and equipment essential for the growth of his business.

Before receiving this much-needed assistance, Shafraz had secured a loan from the Fiji Development Bank to help launch his venture. The intervention from the Ministry has been pivotal, enabling him to successfully repay that loan.

In order to broaden his customer base, Shafraz has also turned to online sales, marketing his creations through his Facebook page, “Jewelry Heaven Fiji.” This initiative allows him to reach customers across the nation, enhancing his business’s visibility.

The Youth and Sports Ministry aims to empower aspiring entrepreneurs like Shafraz, demonstrating its commitment to fostering the next generation of business leaders.

This story highlights not only the potential for young entrepreneurs to thrive but also the importance of institutional support in nurturing local talent. Shafraz’s journey serves as an inspiring example of how with the right resources and determination, ambitious individuals can turn their dreams into reality.
