Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Kamikamica officially launched the FRIEND E-Commerce Platform at the Grand Pacific Hotel yesterday. This initiative represents an important advancement in empowering grassroots communities and expanding the reach of local microenterprises.

In his address, DPM Kamikamica emphasized the crucial function of microenterprises in alleviating poverty and enhancing economic resilience. “Today, we are not just launching a platform; we are sharing stories and preserving our heritage,” he stated. He noted that the collaboration with Shop Pasifika opens opportunities for grassroots crafts, enabling local artisans to connect with a wider audience.

Kamikamica recognized FRIEND for its persistent dedication to improving lives over the past 22 years through various social and economic empowerment initiatives.
