Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Kamikamica officially unveiled the FRIEND E-Commerce Platform at the Grand Pacific Hotel yesterday. This initiative marks a crucial advancement in empowering grassroots communities and expanding the reach of local microenterprises.
In his address, DPM Kamikamica emphasized the essential role of microenterprises in alleviating poverty and promoting economic resilience.

“This collaboration with Shop Pasifika opens avenues for grassroots crafts, enabling our local artisans to reach a wider audience.”
He praised FRIEND for its steadfast dedication to improving lives over the past 22 years through various social and economic empowerment initiatives.
Mr. Kamikamica also highlighted the transformative impact of e-commerce in the modern digital landscape, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to promoting digital innovation and crafting the nation’s first E-Commerce Strategy.
This strategy aims to dismantle barriers and facilitate access for businesses of all sizes to global markets.
