President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, emphasized the crucial role of civil servants in Government operations.
Speaking at the 2024 Civil Service Medal Investiture Ceremony (Session 2) at the State House yesterday, he stated, “You are, in fact, the hands of the Government.”
“Your responsibilities include implementing government policies, providing essential services to members of the public, and ensuring efficient administration.”
President Katonivere highlighted that their dedication and professionalism are essential for the smooth functioning of Government departments and agencies, ultimately benefitting all citizens of Fiji.
“It is through your hard work and commitment that our communities in rural, maritime, and urban areas, thrive and prosper.”
