The Bachelor of Science graduate from Fiji National University was seen actively participating in hospital duties just two days after beginning her placement. Her work at the hospital is a key component of her academic program, providing her with valuable hands-on experience in the healthcare field.
In addition to her hospital responsibilities, Waqaniburotu emphasizes her commitment to promoting the Northern Division’s beauty and potential. “The Northern Division has so much to offer in terms of natural beauty and cultural heritage,” she expressed.
She outlined one of her main objectives: to engage with local government officials to discuss and implement strategies to enhance opportunities in the North. “A new port would not only improve logistical connections but also attract more tourists to the North,” she noted. This development, she believes, could lead to job creation and bolster the local economy.
