Elderly Man’s Death Raises Fiji’s Road Fatality Toll to 27: A Tragic Motor Accident at Laucala Beach

The latest road casualty is a man in his 70s who died after a car accident in Laucala Beach last night. As per the Police report, the elderly man is believed to have unexpectedly crossed the roadway near Centerpoint, resulting in a collision with a vehicle driven by a man of 35 years. The older man received immediate transport to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, but sadly he was declared dead upon arrival. Currently, the Police are investigating the incident, and the country’s death toll now stands at 27, a reduction from 47 during the same period last year.
