eHub Sydney Fijians 7s Set to Shine at Coral Coast Fiji 7s

A team composed of Fijians residing in Sydney, Australia, is set to participate in the highly anticipated 2026 McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s tournament at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka next month. The eHub International Sydney Fijians 7s team aims to create pathways and provide exposure for players and teams connected to Fiji, marking their presence in one of the country’s largest local rugby sevens events.

Under the leadership of former Wallabies winger and centre Henry Speight, the team boasts several experienced players, including Ro Baleibau Buaserau and Abele Atunaisa, who have all played at high levels of rugby in Australia. Their experience is invaluable as the team primarily consists of emerging talents aged 19-25, many of whom will be competing in high-level sevens rugby for the first time.

The participation of the eHub International Sydney Fijians 7s team is supported by education and migration pathways organization eHub International, along with associate sponsors such as Bula Brothers Landscaping, Brisk Reinforcement Pty Ltd, and Tui Sportswear.

Coral Coast 7s founding chairman Jay Whyte expressed enthusiasm for the inclusion of the Australian-based Fijian team, noting that it brings a vibrant spirit to the competition. He emphasized that their involvement highlights the tournament’s commitment to celebrating the richness of rugby culture and diversity.

The McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s tournament is scheduled to take place from January 15-17, promising excitement and a showcase of talent from both local and overseas teams. This event not only fosters competitive spirit but also strengthens the bonds within the Fijian community globally, showcasing the talent and passion for rugby that transcends borders.
