Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown for today, November 25, to conduct essential maintenance work on power lines. The shutdown timings vary by location, contingent on weather conditions.
In Labasa, residents can expect power outages from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting neighborhoods including Naduna, Nagigi No. 11, Nagigi Primary School, and several areas along Waigele Airport Road up to Wailevu Solove Junction. Other impacted sites include Gopis Minimart, Diagnostic and Specialist Medical Wailevu Centre, Tee Mariners Shop, and Smile Stores.
In the Nasese area, power will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, impacting full sections of Domain Road, Allardyce Road, Jackson Street, Mahatey Drive, Barton Place, Imthurn Road, and more, including institutions like Walesi Head Office and Live and Learn Fiji.
Savusavu will face a power interruption from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting neighborhoods such as Nacekoro and Tavulomo. Meanwhile, residents in Nadi should prepare for outages from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, which will impact the entire Nawaka area, parts of Kerebula, and several adjacent locations.
EFL advises all residents to regard power lines as live and to exercise caution, as they may become energized unexpectedly.
