Selina Kuruleca, the Permanent Secretary for Education, has been appointed as the Permanent Secretary for Justice, with the transition taking place next Tuesday. In her place, Ratu Meli Nacuva, the current Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports, will serve as the acting Permanent Secretary for Education.
Luke Rokovada, the Chair of the Public Service Commission, expressed gratitude to Kuruleca for her commitment to upholding high standards and for her significant contributions to enhancing quality and equity in education. He is confident that Kuruleca’s new role will allow her to utilize her skills and experience effectively.
Rokovada also highlighted Nacuva’s considerable background in public administration, education policy, and training and development, which will be vital for furthering the Ministry’s objectives to improve the quality and accessibility of education for all citizens.
