The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji emphasizes the crucial role of education in empowering young individuals, asserting that it serves as a foundation for cultivating strong character and building a better society. Patron Pandit Bhuvan Dutt highlighted the organization’s longstanding commitment to education, noting their involvement since their inception.
“Their first educational initiative dates back to 1918 with the establishment of the Gurukul Primary School in Saweni, Lautoka. Over the years, the Sabha has expanded its reach, constructing multiple schools aimed at providing education to all, regardless of race, ensuring that every student has access to the same quality of education as their peers across the nation,” he stated.
Dutt articulated the belief that education is a vital instrument for shaping responsible citizens and fostering good character. He emphasized that through education, youth not only acquire knowledge but also learn discipline and essential values that empower them to discern right from wrong. Furthermore, this empowerment allows individuals to make sound decisions, contribute positively to their communities, and lead lives filled with purpose.
The commitment of the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha towards education stands as a hopeful model for fostering inclusivity and development in Fiji, aiming to create a generation of well-informed citizens dedicated to their communities’ growth and wellbeing.
