Despite the significant win, team manager Epeli Sovalevu acknowledged that there are still areas for improvement in their game execution. He emphasized the need for the squad to better implement their training structures in future matches. “It was a good run for them, but we still have a lot of work to do; execution was not that good,” Sovalevu stated. With three more games left in the competition, he remains optimistic about the team’s growth and development as they refine their skills.
Sovalevu highlighted the strengths of the forwards, particularly their improvement in mauling and set pieces, noting that many young players are stepping up. He thanked the supporters for their turnout and encouraged them to continue backing the team as they progress in the tournament.
This victory is a promising indicator of the Eastern Saints’ potential as they continue to develop and grow together as a team. The future looks bright as they work on perfecting their gameplay and building on their strengths.
