Three individuals are set to appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today, facing multiple charges related to the possession of illicit drugs and serious assault in Nadonumai.
This development follows a recent drug raid conducted by a collaborative task force consisting of officers from the Criminal Investigations Department, the Police Mobile Force, the Fiji Detector Dog Unit, and divisional operations.
A 29-year-old man is charged with one count of possessing illicit drugs, while two other suspects, aged 27 and 23, have been charged with one count each of serious assault.
The case is scheduled to be addressed later today, highlighting the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies in combating drug-related offenses and violence in the community. This proactive approach not only seeks to bring offenders to justice but also serves as a deterrent against future criminal activities.
It is a reminder of the importance of community safety and the collective responsibility needed to foster a secure environment. With such efforts in place, there is hope that the areas impacted by crime will see improved safety and a reduction in illicit activities.
