A team from the Joint Serious and Organised Crime Unit, operating in Suva and the West, executed a raid in Nadi on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of five men suspected of being involved in the illegal drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, reported that multiple sachets containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, were confiscated during the operation.

The seized items have been submitted for analysis as part of the ongoing investigation, and the five suspects are currently in custody.

In addition, several other arrests have taken place over the past week involving individuals alleged to be selling green and white drugs across the five policing divisions.

The Fiji Police Force has expressed gratitude for the public’s assistance in sharing information that has contributed to these arrests and seizures, urging anyone with more information to contact 917 or Crimestoppers at 919.
