“Drug Bust: Trio Arrested in Lautoka Operations”

Three men were taken into custody yesterday on charges related to the possession of illegal drugs. Authorities from the Police K-9 Unit intercepted a vehicle in Waiyavi, Lautoka, where they conducted a search that led to the discovery of two clear plastic bags containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine. The individuals involved include a 26-year-old mechanic from Sabeto Central and a 32-year-old man from Duna Place in Nadi Town.

In another development, a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driver from Cunningham was arrested as well after the K-9 Unit uncovered seedlings thought to be marijuana at his residence during a drug raid conducted by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU) and local police.

All three suspects are currently in police custody as investigations are underway to gather more evidence related to these incidents.

This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies in Fiji to combat the issue of drug-related activities. Authorities are likely to deepen their investigations to ensure community safety and deter future drug offenses.
