Drug Bust: Three Men Arrested in Major Operation

Three men were apprehended yesterday for drug-related offenses in Lautoka. The Police K-9 Unit conducted a stop-and-search operation on a vehicle along Waiyavi, where they discovered illicit drugs. A 26-year-old mechanic from Sabeto Central and a 32-year-old man from Duna Place in Nadi were found in possession of two clear plastic bags containing a white substance that is suspected to be methamphetamine.

Additionally, a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driver from Cunningham was arrested during a raid at his residence after seedlings believed to be marijuana were discovered by a team from the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU) and the Police K-9 Unit.

All three individuals are currently in police custody as investigations are ongoing.

This incident underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in tackling drug-related crimes in the region, reflecting a commitment to ensure community safety and uphold the law. It serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance in combating substance abuse and promoting a healthy society.
