Authorities conducted a police raid at the residence of a 21-year-old man in Wairuku, Rakiraki, resulting in the arrest of four individuals. The operation, carried out by the Western Division operations team on Tuesday, uncovered several items linked to illegal drug activities.
During the raid, officers found clear plastic bags containing what is suspected to be marijuana, as well as substances believed to be methamphetamine. Additional evidence was collected, including mobile phones, syringes, packing materials, and both local and foreign currency, which police believe are connected to criminal operations.
The individuals taken into custody included the 21-year-old, along with three others aged 44, 24, and 18. The substances seized are undergoing laboratory analysis as the investigation continues.
This enforcement action highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address drug-related activities in the community, aiming to create a safer environment for residents. It is a reminder of the importance of vigilance and community support in tackling such issues.
