A police operation in Wairuku, Rakiraki, led to the arrest of four individuals following the discovery of suspected illegal drugs at the residence of a 21-year-old man. Executed by the Western Division operations team on Tuesday, the raid revealed clear plastic bags containing dried leaves thought to be marijuana, as well as substances believed to be methamphetamine.
In addition to the drugs, law enforcement officials confiscated mobile phones, syringes, packing materials, and various forms of currency, which are suspected to have been obtained through criminal activities. The 21-year-old, along with three others aged 44, 24, and 18, were taken into custody. The seized drugs have been sent for laboratory analysis as police continue their investigation.
