Three individuals are set to appear in court today at the Suva Magistrates Court, facing charges related to the possession of illegal drugs and serious assault in the community of Nadonumai. This development comes on the heels of a drug raid conducted by a collaborative task force that included officers from the Criminal Investigations Department, the Police Mobile Force (PMF), the Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), and divisional operational units earlier this week.

The first individual, a 29-year-old male, has been charged with one count related to the possession of illicit drugs. Meanwhile, the other two suspects, aged 27 and 23, have each been charged with one count of serious assault.

The court proceedings are anticipated to take place later today, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to tackle drug-related issues and violence within the community.

This situation underscores the importance of collaborative policing efforts in addressing crime, and it serves as a reminder of the vigilance required to maintain public safety. As the community awaits the court’s decision, it is hopeful that justice will be served and that these actions will deter similar incidents in the future.
