Drug Bust in Nadi: Five Arrested in Major Operation

A team from the Joint Serious and Organised Crime Unit, combining efforts from Suva and the West, executed a raid in Nadi on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of five men suspected of involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, confirmed that multiple sachets containing white substances presumed to be methamphetamine, along with dried leaves thought to be marijuana, were confiscated during the operation.

The seized materials have been sent for further analysis while investigations are ongoing, and the suspects are currently in custody.

In addition, several arrests were made last week of individuals accused of trafficking green and white drugs across five policing divisions.

The Fiji Police Force values the community’s assistance in facilitating these arrests and drug seizures and urges anyone with relevant information to contact them at 917 or through Crimestoppers at 919.
