Three men were taken into custody yesterday in connection with drug possession. The Police K-9 Unit intercepted a vehicle along Waiyavi in Lautoka, leading to the arrest of a 26-year-old mechanic from Sabeto Central and a 32-year-old individual from Duna Place in Nadi Town. During the search, the K-9 Unit uncovered two clear plastic bags containing a white substance suspected to be methamphetamine.

Additionally, a driver of a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) from Cunningham was apprehended after authorities discovered seedlings believed to be marijuana. A subsequent raid by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU) and the Police K-9 Unit at his residence revealed further marijuana seedlings.

All three suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.

As investigations progress, it is hoped that the results will contribute to a safer environment for residents.
