Two individuals who arrived this morning via a shipping vessel are currently in police custody following the discovery of illicit drugs. The Fiji Police Force, accompanied by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU), carried out a search at Port Mua-i-Walu.
During the operation, a 39-year-old farmer was found in possession of branches of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana. Simultaneously, a 26-year-old unemployed man was also discovered with similar dried leaves.
Both individuals are now in custody as the investigation into the matter continues.
