Two individuals who arrived this morning on a shipping vessel are now in police custody for possession of illegal drugs. The Fiji Police Force, along with the Fiji Dog Detector Unit, conducted a thorough search at Port Mua-i-Walu.
During the operation, a 39-year-old farmer was found in possession of branches of dried leaves, which are believed to be marijuana. Additionally, a search of a 26-year-old unemployed man also revealed that he had some dried leaves in his possession.
This situation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking and ensure public safety. It serves as a reminder of the vigilance required in monitoring and controlling illegal substances within the community.
In light of such incidents, it is crucial for communities to engage in open discussions about the impacts of drug use and to work together toward creating a safer environment for all.
