Two individuals were taken into police custody this morning after arriving via a shipping vessel and being found in possession of illicit drugs.
The Fiji Police Force, accompanied by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU), executed a search operation at Port Mua-i-Walu. During the search, a 39-year-old farmer was discovered to have branches of dried leaves believed to be marijuana. Additionally, a 26-year-old unemployed man was found with a separate collection of dried leaves in his possession.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies in Fiji to combat drug-related offenses and ensure public safety.
