Swire Shipping Fijian Drua winger Selestino Ravutaumada will not participate in the upcoming Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific match against the Western Force in Perth due to a Head Injury Assessment failure after the recent game against the Brumbies. Following this setback, he is returning home to focus on his recovery.

Head Coach Glen Jackson voiced his disappointment over Ravutaumada’s absence, particularly as he had only recently returned to play after a six-month recovery from shoulder reconstruction surgery. Despite this disappointment, Jackson emphasized that the team is healthy and ready, stating, “It was unfortunate to lose him, but we do have a fully fit squad traveling to Perth.”

Ravutaumada’s injury poses a significant challenge for the Drua as they strive to gain momentum and aim for their first away victory this season. To fill the gap left by Ravutaumada, Isikeli Rabitu is anticipated to step into his position, showcasing the team’s flexibility in the face of adversity.

The Drua’s match against the Western Force is scheduled for Sunday at 6:05 PM at HBF Park. While Ravutaumada’s absence is a setback, the team’s overall fitness and preparedness reflect their strong determination to compete. Supporters will be eager to see the Drua deliver a spirited performance, potentially marking a pivotal moment in their season with a much-needed win against the Force.

This match presents a crucial opportunity for the Drua not only to demonstrate their depth and resilience but also to garner enthusiasm from their loyal fan base. Despite recent hurdles, the team’s unity and commitment could ignite expectations for a successful campaign as they continue their journey in the Super Rugby Pacific tournament.
