Drua’s Unique Pre-Season Journey: Building Bonds for a Stronger 2025!

The Fijian Drua rugby team has embarked on a four-day pre-season camp in Kadavu, aimed at strengthening team bonds and setting the stage for a successful 2025 season. Nacani Cawanibuka, the head of athletic performance, emphasized that this initiative is one of the best investments made by Drua management, significantly enhancing the connection among squad members.

During their time in Kadavu, the team engaged in various bonding activities, including a boat race, and participated in a community service project by painting the washroom facilities at Namalata Central School. Cawanibuka described this experience as unique for the Drua and expressed his belief that such activities are vital in building a cohesive team spirit.

He highlighted the importance of teamwork in fostering a sense of unity among players, stating that the painting project not only serves as a way to give back to the school but also strengthens relationships within the squad. “We are trying to finish the year strong, finish together; being enthusiastic and it’s beautiful to come together as a community with our people here in Kadavu,” he said.

Cawanibuka conveyed hope for the team’s future, emphasizing the significance of creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of community. This initiative lays a foundation for the Fijian Drua as they gear up for the next chapter in their Super Rugby journey.
